Please join us to explore metacognition, its importance for effective learning, and the potential afforded by the virtual learning environment (VLE) to support skill development in this area.
Keynote address, “Teach Students How to Learn: Metacognition is the Key!” Emerita Professor Saundra McGuire, Louisiana State University, USA.
UCD Academic Fellows, Dr. Crystal Fulton, Dr. Emma O’Neill, and Dr. Carmel Hensey, will present their Metacognition Design Framework, a unique blended approach to enable the development of metacognitive skills supported by technological opportunities available within the VLE.
The event is part of the National Forum Seminar Series and will be supported within the Brightspace environment to showcase virtual learning tools.
